Introduced in 1989, the Epiphone G-Series is a line of Gibson-authorized copies of the famous Gibson SG. Common features found on most Epiphone G-Series guitars include a double-cutaway Mahogany body with humbucker pickups and a rosewood fretboard. The G-Series originally consisted of only two guitars, the Epiphone G-310 and Epiphone G-400. It eventually expanded to include the SG Special and several variations of the G-400.
